Hello all! It is an honour to be your captain. I mainly fish the Kawarthas in the summer, and Simcoe in the winter months. Muskie are my passion, but I will fish for anything from panfish to pike, carp to catfish. I'm not much of a salmon guy, but as they say, it's never too late to start...

I think we should do very well... I caught some very respectable fish last year in a number of different categories. Hopefully we have some trout/salmon guys who can help get some inches out in those categories!

Sooo... as for a team name... everyone post some suggestions, and then we can vote on the winner. I think we should have our team name chosen by February 1st... I can also design a logo for us if you like.

The tournament starts February 1st, 2010 and runs until December 15th, 2010.
Fish entries can be emailed to me here : mcpeterh@hotmail.com
Please send all images full size if possible.

Remember to sign up and enter any qualifying fish at the O.F.A.H. Angler Awards site... every qualifying entry gets us 2 bonus inches. My team came in second in the 2009 tourney, and we lost by a whopping 1.5"... so YES it makes a difference!!!

Here's the list of what qualifies for an O.F.A.H. angler award:

Panfish - Black Crappie 10", Perch 12", Bluegill 9", Rock Bass 10"
Brown Trout : 21"
Coho Salmon : 30"
Muskie : 36"
Rainbow Trout : 21"
Splake : 20"
Carp : 30"
Lake Trout : 26"
Northern Pike : 30"
Walleye : 25"

Remember to have the words "OFN Community.com 2010" or "OntarioFishing.net 2010" in the picture with the fish... or we can't use it!!! There is a simple image that you can print and use here:
http://i147.photobuc...NAMENT_LOGO.jpg

Looking forward to a fun season with you all!!!!

Our team members are : splashhopper, vinnimon, camillj, Marko, bigugli
And Captain Fisherpete, skipper of the mighty vessel named Quest for 50" :D

Hey guys,

Just a quick introduction. I see most of you have become familiar with one another by now, but I'm a bit slow to sign on.

My name's Ben. I live near Hanover, but do most of my fishing out of my cottage on Stoney for whatever bites.

Probably don't devote as much time to fishing or have as much experience as some others, but I'm hoping that changes.

For what it's worth, Rippin' Weeds is a pretty decent team name.

Cheers.

Hey fellas, glad to be a part of the team. Sorry for checking in late ... nobody told me about the mid-week skate ;)

Anyhow, I am pretty much an all rounder ... with a weekness for Specks and Musky but will chase whatever we need (although Carp is definitely not my forte) ... Next week I plan on trying to fill the NGL Trout category (From Lake Joe or Rosseau) with something to get us started .... and maybe a trip to IBP to notch one for the Whitefish category as well ... anyhow as for a name I am good with the team decision but Rippin Weeds works for me ... Vinni if you are ever looking for a second mate to work the riggers just PM me ... been doin it since the eighties when Cohos the were king :)
